About the ceremony:-

Your wedding day should be one of the most enjoyable experiences in a person's life. The culmination of many arrangements and much planning is the marriage ceremony itself. It is my role to liaise with you to help you create the perfect words and to capture the sentiments you and your partner feel. Your perfect ceremony ensures your wedding day will be one of your most treasured memories throughout your life.

Your wedding ceremony can be traditional or modern, formal or informal, or as simple or extravagant as you like.

Readings and verses add your own special sentiment to your ceremony. You may like to invite a friend or family member to do the reading for you.

The vows you make are your promises to each other and will stay with you forever -
you may decide to write your own or draw on my resources.

I will help you with these choices from my resource booklet.

Generally music is included in the ceremony, usually prior to the bride arriving to set the mood, then to announce her entrance, gentle sounds during the signing of the register and lastly something joyous at the conclusion of the ceremony.

We can design the ceremony to include children, family and friends. Other rituals may be incorporated, from the 'giving away' of the bride, warming of the wedding rings, giving and receiving wedding rings, lighting a unity candle, a rose ceremony, hand-fasting, etc.

The length of a ceremony is usually 20 - 30 minutes.

Your Celebrant. It is important to select your celebrant as soon as you make your decision. Most celebrants are busy so it is important to make your choice and confirm the booking early.

The venue for your ceremony is your choice, with a wide range of options available, for example:-

In your home or garden
On a floating chapel
At a beautiful resort
In a hot air balloon
At the beach or beside a lake
At a hotel or function centre or
In a park
On a mountain top
At a vineyard......

A few extras to consider:

Have council approval for outdoor locations
Check tide times if having a beach wedding
Have some seating - especially for older guests
Have an umbrella in the car, just in case of rain
Have a backup location for outdoor weddings, just in case

The possibilities are endless, from the mountains to the sea!
